A wedding and a youth rally

I have been so busy reading everyone else's blog that I have totally forgotten about mine! I have a lot of pics but here are a few from August!!! My cousin Justin got married and it was so nice. He and Hillary were married at my mom's house. Such a handsome fella!!!! I am so happy for them.

Hillary looked beautiful!! I had my little camera so my pics weren't very good, I was so mad at myself.

We had a youth rally at our church before school started. We had a couple of bands play, 10 & 9 and Hypernakao. They are awesome!!!!!!

This was hilarious, the kids had teams and they had to pass toilet paper rolls under their necks to each other, no hands.

Jess totally freaked me out by stage diving into the crowd.

So of course Taylor had to try it too!!!!! We had food,Wii bowling tournaments, food, water balloon fights, food, dodgeball, and did I mention food?

State championship softball games

Well our awesome girls went to State in Salina. These girls have worked so hard this season and played even harder at State. The trip was a long one especially with 3 crazy girls in the backseat(it's a 5 hour drive)! Taylor decided a couple of her teammates needed to keep her company, so no sleep for me on the way : (

Taylor was amazing, she pitched every game while we were there. We played 1 game Fri. night, 2 games Sat. and 3 games Sun. Her dad decided to pull her out in the 3rd game on Sunday because she had done something to her back Sat. and was crying after every pitch because she was hurting so bad. She was upset and didn't want to come out but couldn't go on any more. What a tough chic!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to take a pic. of this guy. He was really into it. I can't believe how crazy people get at these games! There was also a shite dog with painted stripes down its legs, crazy I tell ya!!!!!

The girls ended up placing 4th gold which was fantastic! There were 17 teams, and lots of tough competition.

Chet's mom and dad were not able to go so they gave Taylor a nice welcome, She was excited!!

VACATION!!!

Chet took a week off work so we headed to Branson to stay for a few days..just love it there!!!!!

We have season passes to Silver Dollar City so we went there the first 3 days. The food is sooo good...Taylor and I had a HUGE hot fudge brownie sundae and ate all of it!!!!! Good thing there are a lot of hills to walk up and down or we would both be 5 pounds heavier.

We ran into Taylors friend Jessica and her family so we all rode the American Plunge and got totally soaked (no after pics) but it was fun.

The condos that we stayed at had a Cape Cod look..they are sooo neat. The clubhouse has a huge pool and a lighthouse you can walk to the top and see the whole village.

Here is a pic from the top of the lighthouse..all of the condos are the same but they have them all painted in different colors...so cute!!!!

These seats are on the balcony at the top of the lighthouse because when you walk up all of the steps you need somewhere to rest or you may just pass out!!! These guys needed to rest but I still had some hot fudge brownie sundae to walk off : (

We had a fun week of SDC, swimming, and shopping.. I love going to Branson Landing, it is a shopping strip downtown. Taylor wanted to stay another week (so did I) but Chet had to get back to work and we have more softball to play!!!!

Taylor was going through some old pictures of Chet and found some of a pie fight he and his family had when he was little. She thought it was the greatest thing ever, so lucky us she talked her Granny into buying whipped cream so we could have one too!!! I absolutely haaaate whipped cream..it gags me, but I didn't want to be a party pooper so I had to partake in it. When we were finished we all smelled like soured milk, I don't know why it stunk so bad but that made my hatred for whipped cream even worse!!!!! We had some cake and homemade ice cream afterwards so that made it a little better for me: )

Quilting time

Sooooo....Taylor loves the zebra print and we found a cute bedspread at Target. Buuuuut.....she just wanted a throw so what do I do????? I say "oh I can make you a little quilt" What was I thinking because when Taylor gets something in her head she wants it done right now. So she and I spent yesterday evening cutting those dreadful little squares (I cheated by making them rather large) I got it all put together but still have the backing to put on so I will post a pic when it is all finished...which will be very soon if it is up to her!!!!!!!!

The Swimmin Hole

The cliff slide is so fun...you slide down a short slide then it just drops off and down you fall!!!

The temp. outside hit 101 today so off to the water park we went. The Swimmin Hole is a huge aquatic park that a farmer had built out in his pasture. It's out in the middle of nowhere but is always packed. Taylor invited her bud Jess to go with us and my cousins were there also so we all had fun. I am totally payin for it tonight because even with all the sunscreen I still fried (I have red hair and freckles so that says it all)

Softball Regionals

My daughters softball team had their sub-state softball games last weekend and played very hard. It was so hot I thought I was going to melt and I wasn't even playing! The girls won 2nd place gold which is fantastic. We will be going to state in Salina this July. It will be a scorcher I don't know if I can handle it since i'm a sissy girl : )
